VPX Motorsport Set for IMSA Debut at Daytona
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – VPX Motorsport is set to make its IMSA competition debut this week in the BMW M Endurance Challenge at Daytona International Speedway, marking the team’s first appearance in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class.
Behind the wheel, IMSA rookie Danny Dyszelski will partner with veteran driver Matheus Leist, combining Dyszelski’s rising momentum with Leist’s extensive racing pedigree.
“Very happy with how the Roar went,” said Dyszelski. “We’re looking forward to carrying that momentum into the race to start the season strong. The team has done a great job giving Matt and me a car that we hope to produce a solid result with.”
Leist echoed the team’s optimism heading into the four-hour event.
“I’m very excited for the first race of the season,” Leist said. “It’s been a while since I last raced at Daytona, such an iconic track, and I’m really looking forward to four hours of racing on Friday. The team, Danny, and I have put in a lot of work to get the car dialed in and make sure we’re fully prepared. I feel we have a very strong driver pairing and tremendous support from everyone on the team. I’m confident we’re in a great position to start the season off on the right foot.”
VPX Motorsport’s debut race will take place Friday, January 23, as the BMW M Endurance Challenge kicks off the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season. The race will be streamed live on Peacock and IMSA.tv for fans and media around the world.
