Rising Star Danny Dyszelski to Make 992 GT3 Cup Debut with VPX Motorsport at VIR

17-year-old racing talent Danny Dyszelski will make his highly anticipated debut in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992)Pro-Am class with VPX Motorsport at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on July 11–13, as part of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama.
This marks a major step forward in Dyszelski’s career as he graduates from the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport into the faster, more advanced 992-generation GT3 Cup car. His entry into the Pro-Am division follows a commanding performance at Sonoma Raceway earlier this year, where he swept the weekend in the Cayman Pro-Am class—securing pole position and winning both races in dominant fashion.
“I’m incredibly excited to race the GT3 Cup car,” said Danny. “I’ve found it very fun to drive in testing and I look forward to a strong weekend with VPX.”
VPX Motorsport team principal Vince Partap emphasized that the decision to move Dyszelski into the GT3 Cup category was earned through performance:
“When we entered Danny in the Cayman Pro-Am category of Porsche Sprint Challenge at Sonoma, it was only to give him more exposure with the GT4 car and build his confidence ahead of the Pirelli GT4 America Championship,” said Partap. “However, his dominance in those first two races accelerated our timeline. The GT3 Cup car is more advanced, with greater aerodynamic complexity, and in a single-make series, it lets us fully leverage the car’s capabilities to further expand Danny’s development. It also serves as a springboard toward Porsche Carrera Cup — a direction that aligns perfectly with our long-term vision.”
Dyszelski’s 2025 season includes a dual commitment to both the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and the Pirelli GT4 America Championship, where he races alongside teammate Alex Ellis. The move to GT3 Cup strengthens his trajectory toward a future in IMSA, with Porsche’s North American ladder offering a clear path through Carrera Cup and beyond.
Before transitioning to sports cars, Dyszelski built an impressive resume in karting, with standout performances in USPKS, SKUSA, ROK Cup USA, and WKA. He went on to earn multiple podiums in both the Radical Cup North America and USF Pro Championships, establishing himself as a versatile and focused competitor.
